I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything quite so funny in my life and I’m not sure if I ever will again.
I wish I lived on the mountainside so I could watch this lightning storm on the horizon proper.
LOL so the same bus driver who dropped me off to work this morning just picked me up to take me home and he recognised me (with a rather cute smile, to boot!!).
Yeah, I think we’ve become best friends. :)
I don’t know what I just ate (according to my poor kanji-reading skills they were salad-flavoured potato snacks) but they were fabulous.
So after six years since we’ve last seen each other I met up with my girl Tomoko who hails from Osaka, Japan today.
Had the most wonderful time wandering the Roma Street and Brisbane Botanical Gardens, carving our names into bamboo, taking awful jumping selfies, dodging massive lizards and making awkward eye contact with groups of elderlies going on tour, haha.
We gorged ourselves on chicken paninis in this quaint little restaurant near Queens Street, stood with Australia in King George Square to lose horribly in our cheap Melbourne Cup bets, drank frappes in Max Brenners and walked more kilometres through the streets of the city than I’ve had in a long time.
I’ve been waiting for this day for so long and I have to say I’ve been left feeling bereft.
I did make a promise however and I fully intend on keeping it.
Next time Osaka.
Bring it on.
TOMORROW IS GONNA BE THE BEST DAY EVER BECAUSE TOMOKO CHANNNNNNNN~~ IS HERE AND I’LL BE SPENDING THE DAY WITH HER!!
Note to self: never be confident with your marks. When you think you’re doing well you actually tend to get poorer results.
